But, i dont mind Reys lineage itself, as it does some fun things in matching her against Kylo, and her going dark makes for a decent hook that she needs to come back from and gives her some desperately needed character weakness. But all of this development should have happened in TLJ rather than here at the last minutes. imagine TLJ ending with Rey going full dark side, like Kylo made a wish on the Monkeys Paw and shes far worse than he could have anticipated. I'd be perfectly fine if the prophecy nonsense gets retconned.
