I am of course referring to the 3% of Americans who have over 50% of all guns in US.

Sure statistics show that there is enough Guns out in the wild to give nearly 90% of all Americans a gun.

But just more than half is only owned by 3% of the population.

Shouldn't we say implement a requirement if you want to own more than 3 guns, you need to go see a psychologist for a few months and prove you are not a psycho?

Out of all the people you know who hoard guns. Are they sane in your opinion?

I know a guy with about 30-40 of them, who likes to brag about all the armor piercing rounds and bump stocks he got before they were illegal.

He owns a automatic combat shotgun that he used to take down a entire forest in a few seconds with.

Guy has literally been in mental institutions multiple times, barely stays employed as he quickly gets fired for being crazy. Massive HUGE Trump supporter.

Have you ever met a gun hoarder who was not crazy?

Besides a guy I spoke briefly with who collected antiques and that happened to include anytime weapons (guns, swords, even some armor), I've not met anyone with more than 2 guns (pistol and rifle) who was all there. Best case was the neighbor who got drunk then went to rev his motorcycle to show off and ended up having it launch across the street and hit a brick planter of ours. :l

I know collectors that are perfectly rational people. They are just really enthusiastic about gun history and design and it's their hobby the way other people collect other things, whether it is rare videogame systems or vinyl records or whatever.

The hoarders though, just accumulating huge volumes of ammunition... Yeah they're usually always "the government won't get me when they try and take over!" nuts.

iv never met a gun hoarder who actually did anything illegal with them because they love them so much they dont want to risk getting them taking away. nearly al crimes commited with guns are done by people who own 1-2 so id be more worried about kyle from seattle who bought an ar just after learning his gf cheated on him and lost his job.

that said, i do think a good chunk of them would stand up if they feel their rights were really backed into a corner. living in michigan there is no shortage of militia types who know their way around a pressure cooker.

As someone who owns multiple guns, i dont fear them at all. Only a fool would.

No, I am not afraid of people who have a lot of firearms. I see no reason to be at all. They are statistically irrelevant to me.

i have only ever been afraid of a handful of owners, but that was because they did not follow basic firearm safety. I got away from them after it was obvious they did not care.

But then again, I guess the household I am in is part of the 3%.
Our safe has no less than 7 handguns and 7 longarms, 2 of which are AR-15s and one is a (semi-automatic only) AK47.
And no, nobody in the family supports Trump or the republican party, nor do we have stickers on our vehicles.

I know some one like that. She's otherwise a sweet lady, but one time she went on about how, after the apocalypse, FEMA will go around rounding people up for slave labor and taking their supplies, but if you tell them no and don't let them in, they'll go away?
