I still hate the 6th grade teacher who had us all pick random celebrities from a hat to write a paper about their lives and any flaws they had. I got Mr. Rogers

I wrote the paper about his life and then when it came to the flaws part I wrote that there were no flaws to Mr. Rogers. She failed the paper for 'not following directions' even though I explained in my paper why I was saying what I said.

Fucking bitch.

Also note I'm from Pittsburgh, where Mr. Rogers is from. So she's a double fucking bitch.

Bob Ross?

Bob Ross was in the military for 20 years. His job was to scream at people and make them feel bad. He said after he retired and started doing art stuff full time that he never would raise his voice again. He had some type of nickname like "beat em up Bobby."

And he stole his entire shtick from someone else, and that person felt betrayed by him.

https://youtu.be/_zFJk4_6HVE

Bill Alexander. He was called the Happy Painter and had a company teaching people his wet on wet style of painting. Bob watched his show and did the same thing, selling art he did on pans of the Alaskan landscape where he was stationed. Eventually he made more money selling his art than he did from the military so he retired. He sought out Bill and asked to be his student, so Bill taught him a bunch in person, and asked if he would work for him as one of his traveling art instructors.

Eventually Bob left Bill and copied literally everything that he did, down to almost every little detail and started his own company and became way more famous for it.

They both had a PBS show in the exact same style. They both did it as advertising for selling art lessons and painting supplies. The only difference was their voice and manner of speaking. Bob was much more calm and Bill had a German accent and was more excited, which combined to make him sound kind of angry.

I don't know about "greatest" since there are two other people I'd put into the same tier as him: Steve Irwin and Bob Ross.

The commonality between the three of them is the same. They believed in something positive, really believed in it and wasn't just a fact they accepted. They spent their entire lives dedicated to showing people how it benefits everyone and they refused to compromise on it for the sake of a wider outreach.

Bob Ross gave credit on air to Bill Alexander. Bill Alexander also falsely claimed to have invented the style he used. Bill was mad because Bob Ross straight up did it better.

If you watch the Twitch streams of his show he would "refresh" his content every few years. So basically you can take any 5-10 year period of his show and it'd have the same lessons as the next or previous 5-10 years.

Right. I mean, the target audience for Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood basically outgrows the show every 5-10, so it's a fresh audience.

Also, I don't think there is anything wrong "refreshing," the content to make small improvements to the delivery of the message for each generation. It's a probably a good thing.

Besides he's Mr. Rogers, not M. Night Shyamalan. It's not like her needs a twist.

He was a devout Republican and Christian with all the flaws that come with that

he was colorblind

he had well documented anger issues

He was a vegetarian

He spent over 10 hours a day sleeping

He was a human being, he had mistakes, he had problems, just like you and me

If you don't get that then you never really paid any attention to what he was trying to teach you.
