it has some shows/movies that are a part of its streaming package, like Netflix or Hulu, but there are other shows/movies that you have to rent

Only the stuff marked "Prime" is available for free. It's a little strip in the corner. You can filter for "included with prime" if you want.

Not everything on Amazon Video is free to watch. Only those that say Prime in the top left corner of the icon are.

Yeah it has a shitty interface that by default shows a bunch of stuff that's not included. You gotta filter it to show only Prime stuff

I love the service but also am annoyed by that, especially when they have something on Prime but recommend related titles that aren't.
