The grip angle/bore axis combination in Glock design makes for an awkward stance and sight picture for me personally. It's even more pronounced with a red dot installed. It could be overcome with practice but I don't own one, so it just feels weird.

CZ is a Czech firearms manufacturer and I really like their pistol designs, particularly the CZ 75 variants.

Glocks are the four-door family sedans of guns. Nothing fancy but it still gives acceptable results.

The M9 is like...an SUV. Still ubiquitous but also with a little more going on.

My man, got mainly CZ 75 variants myself.
Sp01 Tactical, 97bd, p07 duty and a tz75.

But yeah glocks are shit and were designed and made by a curtain rod manufacturer in Austria. They're painfully simple where as cz75 variants are put together by tectonic pixie fairies. You can literally make them in your garage for like $300.

they work (which is very important) and the after market is there. thats about it. their triggers arnt good, their frames are blocky, they are over priced for what they are and their ergos are mediocre. theres a lot of other pistols id turn to over a glock (like an m&p if you need a polymer gun which are also 25% cheaper) of which they are only really popular because they happened to come along at the right time and corner the market with insane discounts to LEO agencies which saturated their availability and boosted their name.

if youre going to spend $500-600 on a handgun it might as well be a CZ, Beretta or even a lower end sig. or even if you feel like buying turkish shit you can get some really nice guns for the money like their cz clones which are also full metal frames under $400. personally im a CZ fan.

Like I get disliking Glocks because they're not for you but to say they're not good guns is false. There are obviously better options but you're kind just being a hater. Especially if you really believe it's just an expensive Hi Point.

It literally is just an expensive hi-point, the only reason they're popular among law enforcement is because it was a cheap plastic gun and they weren't going to be buying a vastly superior h&K usp.

Glock knows their audience and play strongly to it. They're getting a bit overpriced lately, but they're still alright.

I prefer the more sculpted lines of the M&P for my go-to/daily carry myself.

If i could only own one handgun it would be a Glock 19. It's not my favorite gun, but fuck if it doesn't get the job done. It's not too expensive, it will continue to function whether you maintain it or not, it's dead simple to operate, and ammo is relatively cheap.
