RE2 remake did a number of good things and nearly everything about Mr. X is fantastic.

My dumbass watered down the helicopter fire before getting the electrical components from the clocktower.

So I was fucking running around everywhere. I wasted a shit ton of ammo trying to get through hordes of zombies while big guy was on my ass

Trolling? Nah. Just very disappointed with the game.

I bought the most expensive edition at launch and I haven't bought a game at launch for about a decade. I was hyped as hell but then I felt incredibly let down by legitimate flaws with the game. It's not very good in my opinion. That doesn't make me a troll.

What's good about him? He's a tedious distraction at best. The only way in which he actually adds any difficulty or tension is if you've not prepared properly and left corridors full of zombies and lickers.

This is part of why the idea of a 3 remake doesn't appeal. If Mr X is their basis for Nemesis, it's going to suck.

That is how it works, yes. That is how most of the entire game works. That is generally how survival horror works. I personally think they implemented Mr X perfectly. He's a huge step up from how he was implemented in the original game.
