But yeah you're right on everything else. Plating a new car in Nebraska is stupidly expensive...plus I'd want to keep it in the garage and then my Dart would be out in the elements.

Is it? Weren't New Edge Cobras fairly rare (as in only a few thousand made each year)? Most Mustang GTs I see are around 5-6k if they're clean like this Cobra is.

Neat car!

One of around 300 made in that color with a hardtop, and 300+hp. Could be a lot of fun.

Personally I'd hold out for a 2003-4 Cobra, but you probably wont find a running one of those for that price.

They have to be. Shelby has to order a few thousands and they get hand built into Cobras. But as another poster said, these models of Mustangs were ugly as hell. Not only that, they were severely underpowered. This one has 320HP, while 2018 Cobras come with a 700HP engine.

Can't really see myself driving an American car, except maybe a Lincoln. That's my personal preference though.

Do your homework on the long-term upkeep. If it holds up for a long time, the price is reasonable, and it's what you want, then go for it.

The 2001 Corvette Z06 had only 65 more horsepower and was about double the price
