This is another leftover of toxic masculinity. The idea is men should be tough and take criticism but women can't, which is sexist.

This is why you see constant shitting on beta males and nice guys when those things exist for women too.

A girl who no one wants to date and maybe not even sex but she is alone? Do you mock her and say it is her own fault.
