They stopped donating toward groups that were actively trying to prevent things like gay marriage. They were donating instead to groups with anti-gay policies; but being anti-gay wasnt their goal.

Now they apparently stopping that too

the last time they said they were stopping, all they did was put the money through an extra layer of bureaucracy. I doubt this time will be any different.

They are doing this primarily because of popeyes taking the majority of the market share in chicken sandwiches and i cant blame them. Only good PR can help them gain some of that back.

That's good. But they already said they would stop years ago, and they KEPT ON giving money to anti-gay organizations (and enjoyed an improved undeserved reputation because most people believed them that they'd stopped).

Only time will tell if they are actually stopping it now. In any case, I'm not about to start eating there again. Nothing against the employees, it's just about the people running the company, they've put money toward anti-gay groups for so long. Moreover, they catered at an event for me last year and their food is way too salty and it's nowhere near as good as I remember it being.

tl;dr That's good assuming they follow through this time, but they've already tarnished their name and I'm not gonna fellate them for saying they're gonna change.

Salvation Army aside, they were also donating to the Fellowship of Christian athletes which requires participants to sign a form agreeing to not participate in homosexual acts
