What do you think of the main song for Frozen II? Might it have a similar impact?

Into the Unknown will not be the Let It Go of Frozen 2. If anything that'll be Show Yourself.

And I wouldn't really say Let It Go "carried" the movie. They sort of fed off each other. If the movie itself didn't resonate, the song wouldn't have stuck around as long as it did.

Hmm, well it certain changed its direction:

Although unintentional, the song's composition was pivotal in the film's characterization of Elsa.[21] Although Elsa was originally written as a villain, co-directors Chris Buck and Lee gradually rewrote Elsa into one of the film's protagonists after "Let It Go" was composed.[22][23] About that, Lee later explained, "the minute we heard the song the first time, I knew that I had to rewrite the whole movie."[10] Buck further clarified: "Jen had to go back and rewrite some pages in the first act to build up to that scene..... You have to set it up well enough in advance so that when the song comes, the audience is ready for it and there's an emotional payoff."[24]

I saw it before the song was driven into the ground, and the whole sequence was pretty incredible.

Yeah, I saw the movie before the song even made it into the commercials and I loved the movie even though it took me a little while to appreciate Let It Go. After Tangled I went in expecting to more or less hate everything about the movie, so that tainted my experience for the first half or so, but it was so damn good and I was a believer by the end.

Unless you are a kid, skip it. Your adult brain will pick up on the plot holes right away.

Yeah I saw Let it Go on youtube and was instantly grabbed. It was the reason I decided to see the movie.

But the movie has a lot more going for it than just LIG, it's not like LIG is the only thing carrying it

I liked the movie because it actually had a few aversions that made for a fun watch, such as the prince being the bad guy

Anna/Elsa had good interactions with each other too
