People rarely say "I'm going to a French restaurant." It's usually Italian, or Chinese, or Japanese, or heck even "American food" seems like a more common cuisine than French

I think its because deep down everyone knows French cuisine is not very good.

Edited my post because I was being too harsh tbh.

Yes, it is against the terms of service. Do not use the boards to set up orgies.

Good PR, nothing else. France is basically that jock who peaked in high school. They've been riding high on the late middle ages and no one has bothered to correct it.

Classic French techniques are used in nearly every modern cuisine, but their ingredients and composition are not really anything special.

Indian, thai, malaysian, etc. are so much better than any European food. I'll finally admit that

As a rule of thumb the further south you go in Europe the better the food. Consequently, the further north the worse it gets.

So, the best food is in Malta and the worst in Greenland? Or specifically, the very north of Greenland. But nobody lives there. Well, there's that American baseOh, you dastardly you!

Nah. British food gets a bad rap but that is some tasty, hearty stuff. Germans and slavs also have fantastic food.

I mean French restaurants aren't just something you casually waltz into on a Friday night. They're usually on the pricey side and something you'll have to book a reservation for at least a couple days in advance.

I think it's weird that French is the stereotypical nice/fancy/expensive restaurant but I've literally never seen one.
