I used to watch it with my grandpa. I don't "hate" it, but I don't get the appeal. It seems like a soap opera with better acting for people with hearing and brain damage.

WWE turned me off for years. I was so fed up with the product and how much of a slog it was to sit through Raw that i just stopped and didnt care anymore. I never looked into any other promotion because i was just done.

Then i curiously watched the first ep of AEW Dynamite. Instantly hooked. The two hours felt like 20 minutes. Entertaining as hell. AEW made me a fan again.

I love it, but it's gotten really stale over the last few years. I think I've seen all the stories the medium has to tell at this point, so the only real thing left to enjoy is the athleticism.

I still watch most of the PPVs, Dynamite, NXT and ROH weekly (but damn, does the new format suck), plus Raw until they do something awful and i have to change the channel. Work schedule makes SDL and Impact impossible live, and neither is entertaining enough to go out of my way to watch later.
---
Boom! That's right, this is all happening! You cannot change the channel now!

Another ROH viewer! I was watching every week since around December of last year, but yeah I hate this new format. It's like a clip show.

The production values understandably also pale in comparison to AEW, but even so, the actual wrestling isn't as exciting. The crowds seem dead too.

I stopped watching when John Morrison left. Probably a coincidence but he was my guy and the interest within my group of friends was fading already, but that killed it officially for me.

He still my fav. I just though the jackets, the song, the finisher, the slo mo entrance, the pants, everything was flashy and I thought it was dope. Granted I was much younger when I was following, but fuck I still need one of those pants.

I've been watching since September/October 2000. Began with WWE. Didn't catch the end of WCW and was first exposed to it during the invasion storyline. Armageddon 2000 was the first PPV I saw, and then witnessing the Royal Rumble and WMX7 was amazing.

Today I feel WWE is at it's weakest point with RAW and Smackdown, but NXT is great and I love the "war" between them and AEW Dynamite. I check out NWA Power and ROH when I can as well.

my only exposure to pro wrestling was a few weeks ago. the rock came on and basically dissed some guy for 20 minutes then they had a 30 second "fight" and i was like "wait, that's it?"

i mean the rock is a great guy to watch but from what i can tell, he doesnt really do wrestling anymore. is wrestling just mostly dissing then a badly choreographed fight? im not being a hater, cuz i did overall enjoy watching the bit

Youll get a mix of everything with most companies. Like youll have those spectacle matches where its more about the characters/drama than the actual fight, and also ones where its 100% about the match/performance in the ring and it might just be two generic looking dudes with bland personalities.

If you get a match with both spectacle AND performance, thats where the true art form is showcased.

Pro wrestling is great, but the WWE is shit and unfortunately turns a lot of people off. AEW has been pretty good, though. I'll always miss late 00s ROH, PWG, and Chikara, those were the best times. Sadly most of those great wrestlers are being wasted by Vince McMahon's shitshow, but at least he's paying them well.

Since Rock left to do movies in the early 2000s that's pretty much been his thing. Scheduled or surprise appearance where he makes fun of one or more heels (bad guys) and has a short brawl with them usually coming out on top using his Rock Bottom and People's Elbow.

I used to be a pretty hardcore WWE fan. I think I watched it for like five years straight at one point. But I don't watch it anymore, it pretty much petered off for me after Bryan won at Wrestlemania 30. I don't like Vince, I don't like Michael Hayes, and I don't like Kevin Dunn, and until most of these people are gone I probably won't watch the product ever again.

I caught the first AEW television show, and enjoyed it, but I don't think I have the patience to sit through a two hour television broadcast anymore. I primarily watch Corgan's NWA. It feels old school, it's only an hour long, it's the easiest to catch since it's on YouTube, and Jim Cornette does color commentary. It's my go to wrestling, now.

I used to watch it with my parents. Not anymore after Smackdown went to cable.

Now it's not what it used to be. The good ol 90's was where it's at. No rules, TLC, blood, XD and Austin 3:16. Most of them actually played really good roles for antagonists.

Grew up during the 90s and absolutely loved and adored it. Stopped around 2001-2. Got back into WWE and watched it from late 05 to about 07. I couldn't handle any more of WWE's crap.

Thanks to YouTube I was able to watch a lot of old school wrestling (NWA, Memphis, Mid-South, WCCW, etc.) And fell in love again. I'm not a fan of the modern style of wrestling nor a fan of all the bad "comedy".

The new NWA Power show for me back into actually watching a weekly wrestling show. It's not perfect, but there's potential and I hope it does well. What's old is new again.

I don't want to posts this now since it's post 50 and no one will see it, so I'll have to quote it after someone else posts. But there is a really good Podcast that takes 4 huge fans of pro wrestling, they watch some of the best matches of all time, and then get the opinion of someone that's either never seen a pro wrestling match or just kind of know a few things here and there

Here is a list of every episode - http://www.thisisawesomepod.com/match-ratings

Here are some good ones to check out -
