It's just the first half of the season was such a slow burn. The nice thing about Seasons 4 and 5 of Agents of Shield was that the pacing was quick. They got from one crisis to the next with little filler/padding. A lot of Season 6 felt like setup. I think it gets a bit better in the second half, but overall I felt it was a step down from Seasons 4 and 5. Though I will say it has some of the funniest episodes in the series. What's with Daisy's hair? Why is it parted to one side like she's perpetually doing a modeling shoot? And is that a streak of blue in her hair? Was this from last season or did she just do a random tye-dye like a girl who just broke up with her boyfriend?

If nothing else I'm glad May is still there. I was terrified the ending of season 5 implied that she was going to be written out as well.
