I don't give 2 s*s about the dexcuts and I can even overlook weak graphics (Fire Emblem: Three Houses is iffy on the graphics front and it's my favorite game of 2019) but the difficulty somehow being lower than past games and the fact that I have always been kinda skeptical of the open wild area and haven't heard that much good on it definitely lessens whatever interest I may have otherwise had. I've recently been getting back into the main series (playing through Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Sun, after one time each through Diamond and Fire Red years ago had been my only experience post-gen 2) so it's been on my radar, but it's looking pretty bad.
