There's a reason Lucas listened to Joseph Campbell and not you.

All I did was combine what was canon OT with the PT. Like how Obi-Wan implied he found Anakin and decided to train him. Or when Obi-Wan said Yoda trained him.

The only thing I really changed was where the Clone was began and the entirety of the ST

That's a wishlist, not a plot.

The last trilogy (is there a name for it?) doesn't follow a solid arc, pick a focus and stick with it. You can try to shift twice in a trilogy but I wouldn't recommend it.

SW is almost slavishly beholden to the Hero's Journey, but it's built into the lore at this point.

Hard to argue with that. Can't figure out how to write plagueis in as a huge threat without redoing the whole secret-storm-trooper-army-hidden-on-death-star-3.

Maybe something more intimate. Like Plagueis directly targeting Skywalker bloodline via the force

I am. The arc is tied to the new characters. Avoiding focus until the second film is pointless.

Just because I only mentioned Luke and Leia in Episode VII, doesn't mean Han is excluded.
I imagine the Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo being major players in all three films of the sequel trilogy.

No. The focus on the new characters.

Episode 1 - Shows the Jedi Order and the Republic in turmoil, Anakin turning to the Dark Side, ends with President Palpatine declaring martial law and anointing Anakin as Darth Vader. Big duel between Anakin and Obi Wan near the end.

Episode 2 - Remmants of the Jedi Order start the first stages of rebellion against the Empire, while Vader hunts then down. Climax with epic ass Jedi vs Sith battle. Sith win, Obi Wan escapes to meet with Yoda and find Luke. Vader gets injured in the fight, necessitating a respirator mask that predicts his final look.

Episode 3 - Rogue One but good, also more Vader stuff. The climax basically passes the torch of the narrative from Vader to the Rebellion in preparation for episode 4.

something like that I guess.

Decent route. Starting Anakin as a fully trained Jedi.

I made this topic trying to avoid continuity errors. Anyone got an explanation as to how Leia remembers Padm, but Luke doesn't?

If they remade Star Wars, the biggest twist would be making Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker two different people.

Here's my rewrite:

Episode I: same as episode IV
Episode II: same as episode V
Episode III: same as episode VI but with a shootout instead of the Ewok battle

Without the Ewok battle, Star Wars loses his Vietnam parable.

Well I dunno how necessary something like that really was but is there some reason they couldn't accomplish the same thing with Han and some rebels vs Empire?

I actually don't even dislike the Ewoks. They were fun and cute, and the bonfire scene can still happen even. I just think a more traditional shootout for that part is more appropriate.
