I'm playing 2 for the first time and it is so much fun. How easy it is to get lost or just straight up miss areas that have objectives in them is kind of annoying but it is a ton of fun and surprisingly complex for a game this old. I'm just trying to imagine what a modern Turok game would look like. There's a ton of ways they could do it. Just imagining the modernized blood and gore makes my mouth water. I'd even take a sequel to the reboot. It was generic but it was a solid generic, and the concept art for the scrapped sequel actually looked pretty cool.

Yeah, the damage models are super wonky for a lot of the enemies so they throw a lot of health at you to compensate all the completely wasted shots. It does make it super easy though.

A DOOM clone would be the obvious suggestion but I think they should get weird. I want an FPS version of Dark Messiah with a bunch of goofy physics systems and environmental objects like spike walls, cliffs, electric panels, and giant man eating plants you can kick enemies into. Imagine a Turok game where you can do shit like this.
