I dunno, if it was a passing thing, I'd say you're right, but this isn't something just recent. I've been considering it for a long time. Thinking about our differences, what led to the breakup in the first place, and what I've learned about myself since then. If she's found someone else or she's just not interested in speaking to me anymore, I'd understand, it'd be closure. But not even trying is killing me.

They're not so much giving me reasons as they are just saying "that's a bad idea". I already realize it's a bad idea, however I still can't shake the feeling to do it, and haven't been able to shake it for over a year.

I'm just so tired of having to feel this way.

When I broke up with her, my life fell apart. I rebuilt everything and now have a new job that's a real career, more money, I'm healthier, I'm working out regularly, I'm eating better, I'm getting more sleep, I have a great future ahead of me. But I still feel empty inside.

How would you recommend I approach her? The last message she sent was a pretty long apology, I feel like responding to that a year later isn't appropriate, but at the same time, "hey" isn't gonna cut it.

Mine broke up with me like 13 months ago. I was in legit love with her and it tore me up. I still think about her constantly and I have to basically harden myself emotionally every day ever since then

She texted me in April saying she missed me. We talked on the phone for like 4 hours a few days after texting. A few days after that she texts me saying she made a mistake reaching out, she's seeing someone she loves, she's sorry and she only wanted to talk to a friend

It made things worse for me tbh. So I recommend you don't do it

I messaged her tonight. We had a good chat, she's still talking to me obviously and seemed to be happy where she is, and happy I'm doing so well now. I have no idea where it will go from now, but we're both in much healthier places with our lives it sounds like.
