The 2014 godzilla movie? Enjoyed that more than I thought I would.

2017 kong movie? Holy crap I think I'd outright call it a good movie, really enjoyed it.

2019 godzilla movie? Kinda disappointing all things considered.

Despite this, still excited for what 2020 movie could bring, though not surprised if they drop the ball like they did this year.

i was only really disappointed by this years Godzilla because i drove 3 hours one way to go see it in an actual IMAX theater

I think they were a little too overeager to not only have king ghidorah, but basically like AAALLLL the monsters in the godzilla franchise, almost like they were losing the license and just decided to showcase all the monsters in one movie. What worked for 2014 godzilla is just having those 2 muto monsters (who were weirdly sympathetic in that "just trying to mate" plot whoever thought they could make monsters sympathetic)

How they gonna make Kong big enough to fight Godzilla I wonder.

I know in the new Kong they mentioned he was relatively young but theres a huge size difference between the two based off the current movies.

Curious if theyll try to explain it or if hell just magically triple in size in the next movie.

I'm more curious than excited. Previously, I thought Godzilla was a surefire winner. Now, I'm starting to think Kong is more likely to win due to Toho wanting their monster back.

As with the original King Kong Versus Godzilla, the muted interest stems from the depiction of Kong. I'm a big fan of both monsters, but my love for Kong is for the 1933 film and the 1933 film only. While I like that the face is modeled after Kong '33, I don't get why they have to make the monster walk upright. It's not like he's played by an actor in a costume this time. Just have him walk on all fours and fight like a gorilla. Is that really too much to ask?

People keep mentioning this apparent size difference but is godzilla that much bigger than kong? Kong is as big as a mountain, same as godzilla. I'm not seeing the size difference.

Godzilla is much larger, but Skull Island threw in a line about how Kong is still growing.

yes i hope its as good as the second Godzilla movie

Godzilla 1 and Kong were both bad but hopefully they get the same guy from G2 to do it or get him to help out somehow lol

also in the original Godzilla vs ghidorah, mothra and rodan helped out to beat ghidorah, so it makes sense they were in the movie

KOTM Godzilla is 350ft
Skull Island Kong is 105ft
