This show is taking potshots left and right at superheroes, from justice league to marvel. The Vought tower is clearly the stark tower lol.

Of course it takes potshots. Garth Ennis is famous for his hatred of super heroes.

And you know what, Karl Urban is really good in this. I like his character a lot.

And yet somehow he gets money to write them, I wish I could have it that good.

I thought Vought was a reference to Watchmen until I looked it up just now and realized Ozymandias name isnt quite as similar to Vought as I remembered lol (I was remembering it as like Voight or something).

I only have the 2009 watchmen movie for reference but I have to say between the 2 I like the boys a lot more since I found the movie was meh besides roar-shack.

Read the old comics, they are doing it much darker.

Nah comics are always too... comic booky, either too edgy or ridiculous. TV and movie adaptations are always better because they make it for non-comic book nerds so that the rest of us can enjoy the story without the endless gore, violence and rape.

You say that, and yet the Watchmen comics are superior to the movie.
Like when Rorschach disses Watchmen toys.

Since Hollywood loves tie-in merchandise, it was changed into Owlman loving the action hero of himself.

Had to read that a couple of times. Is Never the name of a person or do they mean the verb.

Yeah who is he talking about in that panel, Nixon or someone?

And @saspa I second what Foppe said about the graphic novel. I pretty much have your same view of comic books but this one is nothing like that.

I did actually enjoy the 09 movie but there werent any surprises for me obviously, and the changes they did make were not improvements imo.

Honestly I wish they had made the season longer but they were probably playing it safe.

The writing and Anthony Starr (the actor playing him) legitimately made me hate Homelander, so kudos to them.

Some of the scenes between Homelander and Stillwell were awkward as hell, but absolutely nothing was as awkward as the scene when The Deep brings that chick that's super obsessed with him to his apartment and she fucks his gills with her hands.

Lol yeah that actually made me feel bad for The Deep, in spite of everything.

Antony Starr is incredibly underrated, he was great in Banshee as well.

Just finished The Boys, havent enjoyed a show this much in a long time.
