You only need 25 signatures to get on the ballot. I could totally go around talking to people and work for their interests.

Campaigning and convincing people to actually vote for me over the current Republican dude would be difficult in these parts. Basically the best way to get elected might be to just shout a lot and talk about a problem, some sketchy 'facts' with confidence, and provide a solution. "My fellow constituents. Tennessee is one of the poorest states in the country. This is not acceptable! Now I've done a lot of research on this and I can tell you that the main problem is immigration. Not from other countries, mind you. See, we're land-locked and people cant easily get here from other countries. NO! Every year, people are migrating from Kentucky and they're stealing our jobs. They're coming in here with their better education and taking all of the good jobs. We need to build a wall. A wall on our northern border that will keep them out.
