Maya is pretty good, since that action skill adds almost all the elemental effects and you have bouncy bullets (at the singularity)

Salvador deals essentially double damage at all times, or worst case scenario - just has a slag offhand

Axton ... people say he's good, but I'm not seeing it beyond slag on turret. Excluding infinite speed glitch.

Zer0 ... While cool, doesn't have any active slag skills. But B0re can be broken and accidentally OHKO OP8 bosses

Gaige is fun, but also lacks built-in slag; but the bouncing bullets with Anarchy can cause a lot of chaos, especially with graphically intensive non-rocket guns... also has the least clutch class skill so, but he's also not weak, so you can just summon your bot whenever you feel like it and it's never a mistake.

Kreeeeeegi ... idk, never tried, he wasn't in the game when I was playing it... back in 2012.

Just toss the turret and go do something else. He can also get buffs that make his weapon strong when his turret is deployed.

Or in the case of Rubi, a slag offhand that also causes him to be healed for 15% of the damage he deals, rendering him almost invulnerable.

Axton? Good? What drugs do people have to be on to think that? He's the second worst next to Krieg. Axtons only somewhat useful if you get the Slag turret that's true, but even then once you get to UVHM and the OP levels the turret becomes useless as a trash mob can easily dispatch it. I find his skills very underwhelming compared to the rest too, then again I hate Salvador and think his ability is boring and lazy.

If you're playing the PC version there's a community patch that balances the heroes' skills so that some of them aren't complete crap lategame

Salvador, it's not particularly close. His action skill doubles damage at a minimum, enables several busted combos and has 100% uptime. Money shot is one of the strongest offensive skills in the game. Those factors alone make him the strongest end game character, but he also gets free health and ammo regeneration just for fun.

Sometimes it's not about the action skill - he gets to toss twin-grenades, which for stackable spray grenades like Electric Chair is freakishly strong.

Maya has cloudkill though... which you can almost do the whole game with a 1damage gun and cloudkill alone (sans corrode immunity)

Gaige I mostly like for the Close Enough gimmick, since Maya does elemental stuff better... Gaige may have a higher proc rate, which benefits elemental shotguns and stuff where the proc almost never happenes, Maya does far more elemental damage once it's applied ... and Maya's phaselock auto-applies 3 elements.

Axton has some gimmicks against some bosses with Longbow turret, since you can fight stuff like Terramorphus without getting hit because of it (unless it was patched)

Krieg... exists (simply haven't played him yet)

Zer0 is a weird0. None of his trees really intermingle in any way... but he has TwoFang and B0re, the best 2 skills in the game?

I meant I just don't care for his ability enough to play him, even if he's one of if not the strongest one, I just didn't play him because dual wielding is kinda lame as a special ability. Which i weired because I should hate Axton even more because it's just Roland's but rehashed with some extra turret gimmicks.

I play Zer0 mostly, Gaige with a norfleets are evil.

I tried out Kunai Zer0 and it's a fair bit different. multiple-enemy Marked for Death as well as the "near" guaranteed all-element application is interesting, but its rather luck dependent since the kunai are pretty random with what elements they apply and their success rate, but you do throw like 30 of them (5 x whatever)

On normal and tvhm - it's still easy enough for gaige to be fun

Uvhm - too hard unless I'm Salvador and basically cheating
