FFX and Disgaea come to mind

Which is difficult as it has historically never focused on story Like for example, is maingame upto Ceadeus or Dire Miralis in 3U? If its Dire Miralis (which is when you stop getting story related text boxes), the only monsters left are Slos Gian Lucy and Abyssal and maybe Crystal Anyway, Emerald, Platinum, HGSS and BW2 came to mind.
