At my old place of work we had a department wide vote on whether we should switch from 5 day work weeks to 4 day work weeks

5 days won by a wide margin, and the most common reason was "three day weekends are too long, wouldn't know what to do with myself"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Do most people have nothing better to do than go to WORK? This always floored me. I quit at the end of that work season.

Id do this in a heartbeat if I could. In college, I always setup my schedule so Id get all of my classes done Mon-Thur, then have a 3-day weekend. Also...

but im salary with overtime now and its pretty much perfect...

who the hell works an 8 hour day anymore. 8:30-6 is the new 9-5 for any salaried person.

When you work 8 hour shifts you are often asked to stay a little longer anyway because of a coworker being late or the place being really busy.

4 10s and work is the only thing you're getting done. I can marathon shows, go to gym etc with 5 8s

At my last job they would make us work 6 10 hour days every week for months so 4 10s seems like paradise.

I work from home, do only 20 hours and can barely handle it.

But I'm pretty sure I've got some bad depression amongst other things so idk.

Did it for a year. It's ok. The thing is that at least one of those 3 days off was totally consumed with recovering (sleep) from the 4 10s.
