Nazism can;t win against logic. You think if you sit a Nazi next to AOC to have a non violent civilized debate the Nazi would dominate? If so that says a lot about you frankly.

Second to that your argument is dangerous. Once you say "Violence is acceptable so long as the wrongthinkers are Nazis." who is the one who draws the line on who is and isn't a Nazi? Remember Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Carter supporters were all routinely called Nazis by millions of people.

Physical violence is always more harmful and more evil than ideas and opinions. Pain and injury and death is always worse than thinking. Even if the thoughts and opinions are horrible, they are still simply thoughts and opinions.

I find the rejection of that, downplaying of violence and fearmongering of opinions to be deeply disturbing, emotional and anti-intellectual.

You're pretty much saying "We shouldn't be civilized, we should just act like animals towards people I don't like."

Kind of a half truth, the Nazis and the Communists both were violent in the streets. Nazis were worse offenders tho. The Nazis were just better at controlling the media message.

The point was that both Nazis and Communists were violent because even at their peaks they couldn't get any sort of majority. They could only be empowered when people gave up on logic and dicussion and let "Who is the best at punching each other in the street" become a facet of Democracy.

And even in the best case scenario where you don't. You still haven't accomplished a thing, where as sharing thoughts and opinions, countering bad ones and promoting thought and intelligence would have done more good for the world than throwing a single punch ever.
