Yep, a few years ago, I had a topic where I just posted daily what I did (kinda like a journal). It was nearing 500 and got deleted. The mod thought I was spamming one topic but realized after that I was posting separately each day. He just kinda said, "Whoops, sorry" and that was it.

Once made a joke in a thread about a theme park ride malfunction.

Commented on the subpar maintenance with a gif of an amusement park ride failing and some mod thought I was making a fat joke and was raging at me in private chat.

People with fragile egos should not be allowed to become mods.

Yup.

One time, I used the magic R-word (not the one denoting flame resistant material, the other one that there is no warning that it's a magic bad-word) to say a company was...ahem "taping" me financially, and I was hit w/ a moderation for being insensitive to tape victims, even though nothing in my post or the topic in general was about sex that could have confused the context, and I posted a definition of the word in my rebuttal showing it has multiple meanings and I had used it correctly, in the financial sense of the word.
Didn't fucking matter, so now to be safe I never use that word and use words like tape instead.

That sounds like a fair mod.

The last time I was blocked was for a very unfair reason. Someone mentioned something I discussed back when I was in therapy, but got it backwards. I corrected it and was hit with a block and a warning that the next time my account will be toast. I appealed it as far as I could explaining that the situation was several years old, and that I wasn't even the one who initially posted it... but it was a no go.

I can understand never having heard about the Book of Mormon. Lots of critics thought it was "contrived" or "revisionary", so a lot of people never even knew it was a thing.

EDIT: I wish you could opt to keep selected moderation offenses forever, I consider the unjust ones badges of pride. I intentionally refuse to accept it just so it'll stick around longer and would love to have it forever to link/reference to, for the price of the lost karma points or whatever.

I screenshot the bad ones so I can laugh about it with my friends.

When I got the violation, it definitely wasn't there, b/c I checked.
Don't remember ever seeing such a thing, but I don't check the ToU / rules that often.
