- The East Coast / West coast's hip hop is lame as fuck and has been for eons now. It is a Godsend that the south saved that shit from its antiquated bummer tunes.

- The introduction of the shitty Achievements/Trophy systems were among the first signs that gaming in general was descending into abysmal depths.

Fire Emblem is a pretty bad series overall, except Awakening & 7.

There is nothing "inspired" or "fluid" about using a couple of overpowered pairs of characters and hitting "end phase" until you win

Couldn't even survive 3 minutes, I knew it was unpopular.

Easy doesn't mean bad, look at Kirby. But not only that, easier games tend to be faster and therefore more fluid. If you play on hard without grinding you still have to use the weapon triangle which adds some momentum missing from SoV and 3H. I know I could compare stats/classes (with characters all wearing identical school uniforms) instead in those games but rock, paper, scissors is better paced. And theres no running around a castle or school or towns doing petty fetchquests. I like jRPGs and Action Adventure games but exploration bogs down Fire Emblem because even if the devs knew how to do it better, it doesnt belong in SRPGs.

The inspiration is more about like the story and setting and stuff.
Not counting the fact it "saved the series" cause thats a stupid argument anyways, the devs did put their hearts into sending the series out with a bang and it shows. Even the free DLC was like a hundred characters from previous games.

The waifu & time travel stuff was a stroke of genius IMO too. Not only did it fix the "Rescue" & "Support" mechanics, it did it with plot that additionally introduced a breeding system better than pokemon. Support before took too long to grind for a 2 or 3 point stat gain in a short range that SoV & 3H have to highlight to even make noticable. It also condensed your army, halving the the turn count but doubling the depth of each move.... in theory if it wasn't so easy at least, Fates gimped it too much though.

TLDR
Easy = Fast = Fluid, Intuitive Tactics (Weapon Triangle) & No Fetchquests = Better Pacing.
Time Travel might be cliche but it was a great way to reflect on & refine a series for inspiration, even in DLC.

Well atleast not where i live. I did read a news story a few years ago about a local woman traveling to, i think it was spain, to get a painless end, instead of suffering from ALS. That and the group of doctors that has essentially said "Fuck this" and helped patients chose their own end, instead of suffering. Which they got into trouble for.

People should be held more responsible for their actions instead of making excuses and being told its ok. I don't have any sympathy for someone who doesn't pay credit card debts then talks about how broke they are and how many kids they have when the companies come to collect years later
or someone not paying rent for several months and then being offended the landlord is seeking to have them removed.

Fiction in general:

The vast majority of stories put far too much emphasis on events and even characters and not enough on structure and purpose
Realism is overrated af and in many cases an actual detriment to the story

Books/literature:

Robot trilogy > Foundation
Lord of the Rings is way too boring to read
Descriptive is the worst writing style, and expository is the best

Movies:

The Matrix sequels, while obviously not as good as the original, are good movies
Star Wars 7 was absolutely brilliant, and if you don't agree you probably just didn't get it
Ewoks were fine; it was the Emperor who ruined Star Wars 6
Black Panther was underwhelming af. It regularly set up interesting stuff but refused to follow through.
Super Mario Bros was phenomenal

Comics:

Superman > Batman
Cyclops > Wolverine
Raphael is the worst Ninja Turtle. Casey is the best, even though he's not one.

Video games:

Super Mario Bros is super hard. Most "super hard" games are only moderately difficult.
Altered Beast and Devil May Cry 1 are among the worst games of all time.
Mega Man 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 are among the worst entries in their series (both still good games though)
Zelda is a mostly-awful series, with the exceptions mostly being the less popular ones
Metroid, Kirby and F-Zero are the best Nintendo series
The real problem with Other M was the quickdodge; the story was fine.

Music:

That stupid Pia Colada song and that stupid Joker Smoker song can go die in a fire
Jupiter is the best movement of Holst's Planets

Food:

Literally anything with "kettle" in the name is terrible. Kettle corn, kettle chips, terrible terrible terrible.
The term "chicken salad" is misleading af, and also chicken salad itself is disgusting.
These sauces and condiments are abominations: honey mustard, mexicali, mayonaise, any salad dressing, mustard except for very specific contexts, honey, horseradish and probably more I'm forgetting
The best steaks are medium

Finance:

If you haven't begun seriously investing by your mid 20's, you are way behind.
Buying a car new is a stupid move unless you are a billionaire. Financing one is even worse.

Parenting, however, could be regulated, but there is no way it could be regulated without rampant accusations of some sort of -ism.
