I will argue that Black Lightning is at least two tiers above the rest. In particular, Agent Odell is a delight.

black lighting is a little better yea. and tbh I guess (imo) legends of tomorrow is a bit more enjoyable as well. I guess cause it doesn't take itself as seriously. black lightning though, to be fair, isn't tied into the other ones. so the tone is different

Okay, remember that trailer that most of the internet went "shit the what is this fuck?" about? The one that made it seem hyper feminist and obnoxiously preachy? Yeah, ignore that, whoever made it was a bozo.

Other than that... like most people said, if you've watched and liked most of the other CW DC shows, it's alright. I'd at least watch the first three episodes, then decide if you wanna keep going or just go 'nah, not for me'.

I will say the "It's Batman but ____" isn't true. She's pretty different from Batman. This entire last episode's B-plot was about her being utterly shit at lying, leading her to fuck up when she was trying to explain why she had to leave to do Batstuff.

It's not even "meh" anymore. I'm literally struggling to get through Arrow at this point. I've never seen a show go from pretty great to just utterly unwatchable. I'm committed to watching the series finale but I'm still stuck in the last five episodes of last season that I can't bring myself to finish. It's horrible.

And now they're planning a spin off around his daughter from the future and sometimes-black-canary. Good god, why? Who the fuck asked for that?

This season is better, if it helps. It pretty much confirms that the show would have always been better off if at least ten episodes had been cut from its order.

If you asked me to summarize what happened in the flash or arrow this season so far I wouldn't be able to tell you lol. I agree with you pretty much. I'm watching them for the sake of completion at this point. I had no idea they were making a spinoff with the daughter and black canary. That sounds terrible
