While cleaning tonight, I found a whole bunch of them -- smaller notepads/memo pads I used to carry in my pocket as well as those larger notebooks -- and, while I was going to save them at first, I'm honestly not sure what I'd use them for any more.

Now if I need to take something down while I'm out somewhere, I can just take a note on my phone (or record something). And, other than some format issues with including drawings along with what I'm writing, it seems easier just to type than to write (especially since my handwriting is lousy). Granted, I still use stuff like that at work (pretty much just for meetings), but the company provides office supplies.

Are they all empty? If they are than give to a family member who has little kids. Thhey never have enough paper to draw on. If you got writing in them and you have space to save them then why not keep? I am going through old photos and personal items of my family that go back to the mid 1800's. I found in an old suit from the 1920's a handwritten receipt. My great great great grandfather was a doctor. We have a small leather satchel with his writing, receipts etc. These small, everyday items give much more insight to his daily life than you'd think. Oh, and the handwriting was fantastic.

Thing is, it is junk to us now and things have to have room to be kept.

I have my old journals from high school (which I *think* I started because they had us do it for a class) and possibly part of college (can't remember when I stopped) which I'm tempted to either save or burn. Right now it' a 50/50.

Most of these notebooks are either empty or I cleared out a few pages that had writing (particularly when I can't read what I wrote).
