Eat almonds for protein, just snack on them throughout the day. Only vitamin deficiency you'll get from putting down meat is B12, you can just take pills from Wal Mart for that.

Its making your body intake an unnatural diet. When your diet requires you to take vitamin supplements to round it out, then it means youre not eating something that youre supposed to eat: meat.

Your argument, as usual, is 100% emotional. I go for facts, not emotion. Its a fact that human beings were not vegan until they had the privilege of having a choice. They ate to survive, and whether you choose to acknowledge this commonly known fact, veganism is a man made concept of rejecting certain foods.

Humans. Are. Omnivores.

You cant change that fact and its more facts than youve offered us.

protein is not an issue. if there are issues with the diet, it's not protein. every food except processed foods (like pure sugar or oil) have protein. if you eat enough calories you'll eat enough protein. like bread has some, broccoli has some, celery has some, and so on and so on. if you need extra protein because you're trying to gain muscle, you just eat more nuts and legumes

Are you a nutritionist? What are your qualifications? That you're some random guy who thinks McDonald's is tasty? I've been vegan for over 4 years. I didn't take vitamins for the majority of that. I take a multivitamin now just to be healthier in general, not because it's required.

My sister is a really strong vegan, and she has recently needed to start taking some heavy supplements. She has been a vegan for... 6 years or so. Only now she is taking a lot of supplements due to the time she has been a vegan. She has actually started eating chicken on rare occasions as well in the past few months due to needing more protein.

She was a true vegan up until a few months ago, when she needed to start eating chicken.

Most 'protein alternatives' still lack a lot of protein per calorie.

For a long time they didn't. Wasn't until the first stone knives got made did they start eating meat.

Animal skin is surprisingly tough and you're not biting through all that fur either.

Humans are estimated to be about 2 million years old. The first stone tools were thought to have been created around this time.

So if humans were primarily non-meat eaters, it wasn't for very long.

The first "human" would be the homo habilis which already had stone tools however Australopithecus & related early proto-humans would have been mostly herbivorous.

If you look at apes, with the exception of the chimpanzee, they all eat predominately plant based diets. While they're all omnivorous the bulk of their diet is plants. Chimpanzees are the only ones that eat a significant portion of meat.

We're not really related to the humans of 2 million years ago, either. My point is that our species didn't start out as meat eaters. We evolved it to gain an advantage in survival of the fittest.

We became smarter after eating meat. Intelligence has also increased dramatically among homo sapiens. Ancient cuneiform has some shit about how students thought learning how to read and write was the hardest shit ever and today it's basically considered a disability if you can't do it.
