wasn't he working for a god? what I remember is even Sauron has a master. some deity type being of evil. maybe he would turn the world into a paradise for evil beings. I dont' think he would kill the evil races like orcs.

^Nah, they just threw him in there for a few Ages. Sauron would subjugate the world for a while and once Morgoth came back would relinquish the throne to his master.

Man, the LotR movies are one of the greatest things ever imo. I really want to watch the trilogy again but I just haven't had time. Fellowship is on TV right now but I've been trying to resist watching it till I have time for the whole EE trilogy.
