like gee let's ramrod the player through a few floors in a wave based mode where you're ludicrously underpowered unless you spend coins that you NEED to deposit at the end, otherwise even winning at all is pointless because rewards are locked behind HUNDREDS of coins

Mods can sort of help but the entire mode is fucking terrible. Especially with how the greed machine jams too fast. Like eventually it gest to sometthing like 4-5 coins per character

Greedier mode is even fucking worse. Not to mention Ultra Greed is completely dumb

Keeper's the last character I need and hoo boy fuck them hard for locking him behind 1,000 coins

It's doable.
Go do the main game and bolster your chances with a bunch of unlocks. If you have it unlocked you can get Godhead in the key room in Greed mode.
If all else fails reset until you get a strong start, pray for a reroll item and a source of batteries and reroll until you get an achievement_idle character with the gnawed leaf and a bunch of mooks to fight for you.
Source I am silly and needlessly determined with crap like this and have done every achievement.

Lilith makes the mode easy, especially with car battery and battery baby just don't pick up shitty familiars with her.
Blank Card and a 2 of diamonds or a Jera completely breaks the mode, taroth cloth and car battery make it even easier to do that but you don't really need them. D20 does that too, especially with Cain if you have his trinket unlocked for him.
Besides those you just need to focus on damage/some fire rate and surviving ultra greed. Greedier mode is indeed harder but ultra greedier is way less random and easier to bait than ultra greed and a bomb immunity item turns him into a joke.

D6, yes, but it really doesn't help. On PC, I like to enter the free item room and reset if the item isn't really good, but consoles make resetting so much more difficult.

Play as Cain when you're just practising the mode, he starts with a key and he finds out if his item room item is good right away, if not just reset.
As the Lost you wanna grind for holy mantle then you can check the spike room for a teleport to the devil deal every time.

If you get a good start go for the angel/devil room every time since it's a short mode and it's never a long trip back to those rooms + those items in there are the real beat the game weapons.

Also many ways to break the mode.

Greed is super easy. Greedier is actual hell. No reason to fill the donation machine on Greedier, just grind Greed.

And take the D20 every time you see it. It breaks the game.
