In an interview with Variety, Brie Larson was asked about the prospect of an all-female Marvel movie and she responded with, I will say that a lot of the female cast members from Marvel walked up to Kevin and we were like, We are in this together, we want to do this. She further added, What that means, I have no idea. You know, Im not in charge of the future of Marvel, but it is something that were really passionate about and we love and I feel like if enough people out in the world talk about how much they want it, maybe itll happen.

Seems like one of those youre sexist if you dont want it but Marvel does not have a female cast interesting enough to actually pull it off things.

What if a virus that only affects men turns some of the dude heroes evil? The virus is a metaphor for toxic masculinity. And we get to see the Marvel girls overcome it together and grind the Marvel boys into the ground.

This. I dont mind a women-focused film but how would you explain only the women being together and all the other heroes are gone? The individual female superheroes are all parts of their own separate cliques, by and large.

If they did it in the next phase it wouldn't be too hard. Captain Marvel, Valkyrie and Gamora are all pretty likely to be off on their own and they're all characters who travel through space. That just leaves The Wasp and Shuri.

I doubt this will actually happen though.

Depends on the team up.

Unless theyre just going to own the comic-books silliness and have the villain be like, Arcade or something, it would strike me as a bit off, depending on how different the team was.

On paper theres nothing more arbitrary about an all girl team-up than there is an all red Rangers team up, or anything else like it, but Marvel movies dont really own their kitsch to make that kind of thing work.

It's enough of a hassle for a wedding photographer to get a group photo together, and somehow all of these women who are mostly strangers to each other did it in the middle of a battlefield where people are dying.

Oh of course. I just mean right now it's actually a decent time to actually do this considering the state of the characters and universe.

I'm not expecting it though.

Maybe in the Ms Marvel show she gets a fangirl moment with a few of them and they team up briefly.

You know, this could actually be a pretty cool opportunity.

This team could be an MCU original. Don't base it off of a comic book property that has an all-female team, but instead pull from women who have previously appeared in MCU films (and one or two women making their MCU debut) and create an original property.

For example, if you called them Queens of the Universe, that wouldn't based off of any particular comic book but rather would be an original Avengers/X-Men/Fantastic Four style mega-team that debuted with the MCU itself. That would be a pretty stellar opportunity.

(And, no, I'm not actually suggesting they call themselves Queens of the Universe. That's a placeholder name for an original team.)

Actually, now that were talking about it, Valkyrie could realistically be with the Guardians too now that Thor is. Running into Captain Marvel from there already gives them three women (4? I forget if the alien lady survived). That could be a fun movie. All or most of the female superheroes + the GotG flying through space.

If this were to happen I think I'd base it around Ms Marvel. She gets rejected from Avengers because she's too inexperienced or whatever. She uses social media to start off with a little ragtag group of girl heroes like Squirrel Girl and She-Hulk who have never been in the Avengers and it builds up from there.

I doubt Marvel would do it though. But hey I wouldn't say no to more crossover movies.
