Not sure how much I'll use it, seems pretty cool tho
Would keep track of "time played" for games outside of Steam. Could tie exe files to it, DRM free stuff, and get that tracking

It's beautiful. Way better than Steam's new busted ass library UI tbh.

cautiously pessimistic =( these things almost always end up worse than what they replace, and are only made to give people something to do.

Boom! That's right, this is all happening! You cannot change the channel now!
So... what did we learn?

It's not. The only issue I have is that sometimes Steam crashes while launching a game through it, but the game itself and Steam overlay work fine somehow.

The one where it syncs your library? I've got it and it's awesome. Cool to see all of your games in the one place. Just missing Nintendo for me.

is this only a thing for steam users? I've never used steam, but I do use GOG and GOG Galaxy right now. if this is just bringing GOG Galaxy to Steam peeps, then disregard my earlier post. I figured it was just GOG changing their platform for no reason.

They're launching a sort of... hub where you can tie Steam, Epic, UPlay, and some other accounts as well as PSN/XBL I think. You can launch any game on your PC that's on any tied account and installed from it, with the exception of console games of course.

That's Galaxy 2.0's aim, I think.

no

its polish.

I've been using it. I've linked my Steam, Xbox, Playstation, Origin, Battle.net, and Uplay accounts on there.

its pretty great. i set it up so steam, etc. runs hidden in the background so when i launch it from GoG Galaxy, i dont see the other launcher show up. or if it does, it closes right away. pretty seamless so far.

i just wish you could make lists of game from different services. right now theres no such function.

When you link Steam games to it, does it still keep track on there? Hours played, friends list, all those things? Or does it completely bypass Steam somehow

I'd like to keep my Steam profile as-is, but GOG 2.0 would be a nice way to combine the rest of them

It does.

As a matter of fact, sad as it may make you feel potentially, it'll tell you the hours played of every game combined on Steam too. >_>

Hmmmm if they're able to implement Steam and Uplay seamlessly with no fuck-ups I will be happy to use GOG alone since I own games on all of them

They're pretty well implemented as is, though as I said maybe... one in ten times or so Steam seems to stop responding on game launch, but the game you're launching and the overlay work just fine from my experience even with that issue. I've not had any issues with UPlay or Origin.
