when i've gone to a bookstore they've never had what i was looking for

great author. kinda sucks that the amazon second hand market isn't treating you well though. do local bookstores not take orders?

probably. i've never looked into it because my thought process was that if i was going to get it delivered, might as well do it from amazon. obviously that might change in the future.

these are NEW copies though which is why it's frustrating. i actually looked it up and it wasn't every book i've ordered but it was 5/10 over the last two years. and part of the reason why that total number is only at 10 is because i got pissed off the first time. and again these are overall very minor "problems". like i'm pretty sure if i took pics of the books, almost everyone would be like "that's nothing what's the big deal" which is also part of this because i fully acknowledge it's not a big deal but it's just enough to annoy me!!!!!

Bookstores will generally order books for you.

Then when you pick it up you can go 'argh look at these folds' and maybe get it for free

plus there is usually some coffee place built in so you can get some espresso

one time i was at barnes and noble, i asked a worker there if they had another copy of a book because the one on the shelf had a slight fold. she told me i needed to get some perspective and worry about bigger things in life.
