I find him very annoying. His facial expressions and selling are weird, he's a dick outside of the ring (doesn't seem to be an in character thing), his matches are very formulaic more so than many other wrestlers in similar spots.

In terms of pure in-ring talent and ability to put on great matches, he's at least in the top 5 in the world today. But in terms of the total package to be a great overall wrestler, including mic skills, charisma, and other stuff besides the pure in-ring talent, I wouldn't even put him in the top 20.

Kenny's appeal is more outside the ring than in. He has a hand in several nerd communities, and he's a genuinely nice guy with knowledge of the subjects he gets involved in.
