I'm hoping we get another Game of the Decade contest next and seeing as this decade is almost over these lists will pop up everywhere but this one seems a tad early since Death Stranding isnt out >_>

Still fun to look at. Obviously this is a mixed bag here . Nice to see Bloodborne in the Top 10, Outer Wilds was a surprise and while they have some great indies on there like HK & Stardew how could they not have Celeste. Rocket league eith a big snub imo since I'm assuming they are using popularity here which is why we get Fortnite & Pokemon Go on the list

Surprised they wouldn't put GTA5 there.

I didnt even notice that but that is definitely surprising. Also no Final Fantasy XV (I dont believe it deserves to be there but I would have assumed it would make a lot of more generic lists)

Im guessing theres some Only one entry per series rule, considering now Mario Odyssey or Mario Maker. Also only one Dark Souls entry.

Gone Home seems like a weird entry on there. It was good, but top 30? Especially with no GTA5 on there, as was mentioned.

Not a bad list
As always there are those "X is too high, Y is top low" and "why isn't Z in the list" but it's expected
There are some questionable games I see there but I never played them so I can't be objective about them

Even those that I don't consider very good have at least something that makw them important for gaming

And then there is Raymam Legends which is fantastic but I can easily list 30 games from this decade that are better than it and it really wasn't anything special besides being a very fun platformer

Pretty good. I'd put Celeste and Doom 2016 on there, but all the games on there are of a pretty similar quality, so it'd be hard to take one off objectively. BOTW #1 is a good choice I think.

first of all I would expect lists to be subjective anyway, but then secondly this list looks more like it's reading the pulse of what's popular than making subjective picks, nobody has a top 30 that's this close to the mainstream

yeah I forgot to mention that one too

I'm actually totally okay with doing the list this way too, if a game was released in the 2000's but has been updated and remained meaningfully relevant it's perfectly fine to treat it as a game of the '10's, games should be considered to "belong" to any decade in which this is true since a lot of games, especially online games, still 'live' throughout these time periods

like I would say you can judge WoW as a game of the '10s as well

Minecraft was officially released to the public in 2011. Its two years in open beta clearly do not count.

I missed so much shit this last decade. Portal 2 is that game that reenters my memory every couple years and I'm all "oh yeah gotta play it"

Lots of niche games and games that wouldn't even make top 30 of their year.
