Joker is continuing to start controversy on its opening weekend as fans STORMED OUT of theatres around the world stating the movie is too disturbing and "triggering" for INCELS despite the film smashing records as the R rated film is expected to earn 92 million weekend smashing Venom's record last year.

Not everyone is embracing the dark, ultra violent film that sees Joaquin Phoenix portray Arthur Fleck as the embattled clown transforms into Batman's most iconic nemesis

One fan wrote "literally just walked out of a screening of Joker. Way too terrifying to be there with all this going on the way the movie glamorizes gun violence and mental health issues"

There have been no reports of violence at screenings as police across the nation went on high alert and beefed up security at theatres with the exception of some disruptions at screenings.

In Huntington Beach, one theatre cancelled two screenings after a credible threat was made

In NYC police were notified after one male audience member sparked fears by SPITTING on others and CLAPPED LOUDLY when the Joker killed someone.

One witness said "S*** was scary"

Both Phoenix and direct Todd Phillips defended the film as Phoenix trusts the audience to know the difference between "right and wrong"

Phoenix portrays the character as a bullied man whoafter living on the outs of society snaps and takes rvenge on those who wronged him

Joker received a B+ cinemascore which was heralded by 25 and under audiences but received mixed responses from older audiences.

While watching the movie there were many scenes which made me unhappy.

With that said... it was the best $9 I ever spent, and I think Joachim Phoenixs Joker makes Heath Ledgers look like a fucking... joke.

Seriously, opinions and all but if you dont appreciate this movie on ALL its levels then idk what to tell you. It was perfection imo.

Whilst I haven't seen the movie, nor have any desire to do so (I don't care for movies), just because something features the protagonist doing something 'bad' (or having certain negative traits) without then 'correcting' or punishing the character for such things, doesn't mean it is promoting or glorifying those things.

Then again, for all I know it might be promoting things. All I know about the movie is from people complaining about it.

Does this film represent Incels?

It has no indication of sex entitlement at all. What it does do however is highlight mental health issues and issues of todays society. Complaining about violence too? They are aware who the joker is right? Although it's also not done for the sake of it as mental illness and violence are often linked.
