I accidentally hit a kid in the head at full force with a pickle ball paddle in PE, and then for a couple years I was bullied by him and his friends. It culminated in them all jumping me out of school when I was walking to the store. My parents pressed charges on all of them and then they sort of left me alone. I was also a bully myself at times.

I'd guess being smashed off lockers, lunch tray slapped on to the floor and drinks launched from car windows.

Yeah, for most of my elementary school time. Had one kid in particular who I constantly fought. The kid was 2 years older and a good 40 pounds heavier with half a foot on me. School thought be could do no wrong because his daddy was a fire chief in their town. Small town politics and all. Depending on who you knew or what your last name was could make a huge difference in how successful you were.

It was so bad sometimes he could actually sucker punch me in front of a teacher and I got in trouble. He almost broke my nose once and I got detention for it. Teacher claimed I started it, even though I was talking to her about something unrelated. He just walked up and hammered me, and I am the supposed trouble maker.

I got my revenge, such as one time I stomped his head into the bus window, cracking it and about knocking him out. It was typically short lived unfortunately. He'd have his buddies gang up on me and beat the holy hell out of me. School just said I must've started it and I'd get in trouble. He was such a good boy and would never do such a thing! Anyone who associated with him had to be good people too. I should know better than to pick fights with 3 people at once!

I set a record for detentions and in-school suspensions at my school for fighting. Got thrown off the bus twice as well so my parents had to drive me to school. Both records have since been broken, not all that surprising considering how long it has been.

My old bully? Serving his second stint in prison, this time for drugs. He got 5 years the 1st time for assault with a dangerous instrument and 6 years this time. I have only been in prison as a visitor

i hated 9th grade so much, but other than that I did enjoy high school

Yes. But I think as we got older, people stopped caring and focused on finishing high school exams. Grudges dropped and we all just got along.

Although I did get an after school detention for supposedly bullying someone (who actually later on in life became the head of a well known activist group in Australia), and I also got suspended from school too for fighting when I was the one being bullied by a racist.

For me it sort of depended on the year and the general make-up of my class, combined with my own attitude.

I basically went from being one of the more popular kids in school, to being bullied, to being a bully, to just not giving a fuck and being pretty chill about things.

It helped that my school never really had the classical stereotypical cliques you think of from watching movies and TV ("jocks" were never cool, we barely had cheerleaders, there were very few "nerds", there wasn't a huge divide between "rich" and "poor", etc.). So you never really had the cliche of larger groups of people picking on outcast groups, and so on.

Yeah, but i'd say it was fairly mild stuff. Name calling, taking a book and playing keep away with it, that sort of stuff. It never really got physical, which is good, because I was a tiny kid.

Yeah, but then I got real good at shoplifting and all those same kids wanted to give me their lunch money.

There's definitely a good moral about working hard in that story.

I probably did my share of being bullied and being a bully in junior high. Nothing really mean, just kid stuff. Kids are pretty horrible at that age. High school we all pretty much calmed down and got along but if someone did something stupid, I usually told them so.

A bit in the latter half of elementary school, a metric fuck ton in middle school, and...

Not at all in high school aside from the last day of senior year. The guy who had been bullying me the longest, before my brilliance put me in Honors classes and his idiocy put him a year behind, I guess realized he would never have another chance to torment me again.
So he jumped me in a hallway.
By then, I had been working out and learning some basics for self defense, and I ended up landing a solid punch to the face and threw him against the lockers, about to beat him down, before it got broken up by a teacher. Felt nice to get the last laugh on someone who had been after me for nearly a decade.

I used to get bullied a lot, so as a self-defense mechanism, I guess I became one to an extent.

School blows. There's a lot of stuff I wish I could take back or know how to avoid. But it's made me the person I'm proud of today, so it kinda worked out.
