Damn_Underscore 09/26/19 9:06:54 AM #1:	The top thing on reddit right now is about America switching to the metric system, so of course I sorted by Controversial to get decent discussion. And it is full of people being downvoted for saying Fahrenheit is better than Celsius. But Fahrenheit is absolutely a better way of describing the outside temperature than Celsius. The 0 to 100 scale in Celsius is fantastic for measuring the temperature of water. But the temperature outside will almost always be between 0 and 100 F in most areas of the world. That is -18 C to 38 C, which suddenly is not so pretty anymore, and also is only a 50 degree scale which is only half of what Fahrenheit represents (unless you start using half degrees, which are also ugly and inconvenient).
