There's evidence to show that trigger warnings make long term panic disorders worse over time. This is a subject that is beyond the ken of CEmen however. I don't think you'll find many honest educated opinions on this issue.

I honestly have no idea. On the one hand, you could think of it as a self-imposed rating system. On the other hand, it might make people too quick to avoid issues that maybe they should face head on instead.

They have their place but should mostly be restricted to disturbing imagery or sound, such as scenes depicting gore or murder.

People use the word "trigger" so liberally it's lost all meaning and it has actually hurt those with actual mental issues.

I don't have issues with trigger warnings at all, just like I don't have issues with rating a movie R. There are simply people out there that can't deal with certain things, and they should be allowed to know what to avoid
