I don't mean someone who is "ambiguously brown", but someone who is clearly of African descent (or whatever the equivalent is in the world it takes place in). And by "protagonist", I mean the main hero, in case anyone tries bringing up Barret or Sazh.
Obviously there are some who would refuse to buy it because of it, but there are also some who will be drawn to the game because of this change. I wonder how things would plateau from there? My second game will feature a black guy.
The nice thing about not being in it for the money us you don't have to care who likes it. You're free to make a dadgum good game instead of worrying about sales.
