A North Carolina Sheriff tried to orchestrate a MURDER against a former COP whom he worked with as tried ways of "offing him" and "getting away with it" because the officer had a recording of him makign RACIST REMARKS!!

Brindell Wilkins was indicted on obstruction as prosecutors learned in 2014 that Deputy Joshua Freeman planned to publicly release a recording of the white sheriff making racist remarks against black and muslim people

The 59 y/o spoke with a HITMAN about killing freeman as he encouraged the man to "take care of it" and"the only way you gonna stop himis kill him"

He went as far as to COACH the unnamed third party on how to avoid identification by law enforcement

He said "You ain't got the weapon, you ain't got nothing to go on. The only way we find out these murder things is people talk. You can't tell nobody, not a thing"

That conversation took place in 2014 where Wilkins heard specific threats tokill Freeman at a particular time and place but took no steps to warn the officerof the danger or to try to stop the plot on his life

Wilkins was even shown the GUN that would be used for the murder which he failed to confiscate

Wilkins was driven by "personal animosity" toward the former cop who quit in 2014 and said that officer was going to "destroy" his livelihood if he didn't stop the whistleblower as he made very controversial and racist statements about certain people of colour

The prosecutors however chose to bring charges of OBSTRUCTION rather than solicitation to commit murder or conspiracy because it was difficult to prove

Wilkins REMAINS in office he's held since 2008 and was re-elected last year for another 4 years.
