Even if a team is desperate (Jets), they won't take on that headache and sideshow. He's not worth it. He priced himself out of playing in most spots and burned every bridge everywhere else when he did have the chance

What I've learned from this is that the NFL and their consumer base are A-OK with supporting rapists, woman-beaters, child abusers, and the like but don't you dare kneel during the anthem!

Which is funny because those flag- worshipping, knuckle dragging "patriots" fail to grasp that protest is one of the most American things you can do in this country.

The funny thing is I have absolutely no problem with the kneeling, and Im pretty sure I fit the demographic that should.

Its annoying because I feel like at this point his fan base doesnt realize hes done exactly what CTLM said. Hes priced himself out. His playing ability isnt sufficient enough to justify the baggage that comes with him as a player.

eventually there will come a point when a team sucks so much that the choices are either sign him or cease to exist

it's not happened yet but i feel like the Jets and browns are the two most likely teams to just fade into the abyss if they don't start improving

being a meme team doesn't attract sponsors and it doesn't really help fill the seats when everyone knows You'll lose

i said this already but how is Antonio brown worth it when he cried so much over something as stupid as new helmets? he angered his team over that to such a level they fired him before he could step on the field in week 1

This sentence alone proves you just need to let the adults talk.

Also, no to your first sentence as well. If a team gets that bad (aka the Dolphins) it just be more beneficial to tank the season and get the draft picks. Which for a team like them that already has five 1st round picks over the next two years it might not be a bad idea.

I don't know about being priced out. He has said he'd re-enter the league as a back-up QB. I'm sure he's not expecting starter pay if he's willing to be a back-up.

It might not be priced out in the sense that hes asking more money than hes worth. I think most teams are avoiding him because his value doesnt exceed the risk of alienating a lot of their fanbase.

That I get, but it's funny to me how those same fans aren't as outraged by rapists and wife-beaters, that's all I'm getting at. It's hypocrisy

And don't get me wrong, I watch the NFL. But if Kaepernick somehow landed on the team I watch I wouldn't stop watching any more than some criminal asshole being on the team would make me stop.

first off the browns would need a tom brady tier quarterback to make the playoffs this year and second if someone's being a whiny baby about the new helmets to the point where his team would rather make him someone else's problem before they can even play one game this season

why would you sign him? does Antonio brown just have the right to be an absolute dick or something because he's good

I never said anywhere that the browns were going to the SB lol. But there's a solid chance they're making the playoffs. They were almost .500 last year and lost a lot of close games to really good teams. A lot of teams start off slow. Patriots last year for one. There are a number of reasons your argument breaks down though not the least of which its apparent once again that you know jack shit other than the qb. It's obvious you're one of those guys that just judges a team by the qb and the what the first two games of the season are like without having any in depth knowledge of the game

Dude, Mark Sanchez, Mike Glennon, Josh McCown and E.J. Manuel all got signed around the time Kaepernick was shopping for a contract, and he's as good as any of those players. Like Evil points out he's probably as good or better than half the QBs in the league currently. If he wasn't being blackballed, then why did the NFL settle the lawsuit with him?

Very debatable about him being better than half the QBs. Especially now, after being out of the nfl for over two years. But yeah, he probably wouldve been picked up if not for the media circus or if he was anywhere near as good as Antonio Brown is at his position. But also, there could be a multitude of potential reasons why they settled that didnt necessarily mean they were blackballing him. But even if they were, it likely wasnt a race issue and more of them trying not to piss off their viewers.

And if he was so sure they were blackballing him, he shouldnt have settled. Now, we'll never know for sure and neither will he
