Isn't that only for people who don't have health insurance? There's a maximum out of pocket pay for in network providers.

Even as a Republican I support Medicare for all (or some form of it)

Not every provider is in network, and not every insurer gives the same level of coverage:

Bernie 2020. I say that as someone who voted Republican in 2016.

Eh, not Bernie for me right now.

I'm more than likely going to vote for a Democrat but I just don't know who yet. Biden is the logical choice but I dunno.

The absurd prices are caused not by greed, but by the federal government's refusal to pay for patients hospitals have to deal with after making it a law to treat everyone regardless of financial situations. So they end up charging absurd prices to those that can pay.
Medical staff isn't cheap either and they work a 12 hour clock as well as being one of the most miserable professions out there.

Also doesn't help that ERs are full of junkies looking to get a prescription for painkillers.

The whole "in network" "out of network" thing is such bullshit

Like being referred to a hospital because it's in network but the specific doctor working with you in that in network hospital is actually an out of network doctor

What the fuck? Why would a hospital that's in network have doctors that are out of network? What's the fucking point?

Fuck our stupid health"care" system, and fuck anyone who thinks it's even remotely okay. Maybe if it wasn't so shitty they could get treated for the brain damage they must have.
