Two employees of a day care in Ohio were arrested after failing to stop the "extreme bullying" of a 5-year-old girl in their care, police said.

Emma Dietrich, 31, and Joshua Tennant, 27, were charged Tuesday with child endangerment, according to a Columbus Police report.

A video of the August 13 incident at the Worthington Learning Center shows the two employees sitting at a table, watching as a group of students start "grabbing, pulling, dragging, swinging, and just 'bullying'" the girl, according to the police report.

The girl "appears frightened and keeps her eyes closed or covered and attempts to curl up into a fetal position," in the video, the police report said.
When she tried to get away, the other children grabbed her and held her down, the report said.

Sometimes kids are bullied outside of the teacher's view, and teachers can't act on it because the victim feels too intimidated to speak out. In this case, a girl was clearly being ganged up on by a group of other kids - not one bully, a whole fucking group - within their vision. And the response was to A) initially do nothing, and B) pick her up by the ankle and carry her upside down out of that scenario.

They neglected her when she was in trouble, and then they "saved" her in the least dignified way possible. It's shit like this that set kids up for failure and plants the seeds that lead to dysfunction.

Those adults should never be around children again. I hope they get jailed big-time.

I dunno man... whenever I hear stories like this I also think of the trouble teachers can get into for stepping in to discipline students...

Because pulling and swinging a kid totally isn't justified for action. I would never allow that if they were in my care. That is just disgusting to let happen right IN FRONT of you.

If you actually open the article you will literally see a picture of an adult holding a kid upside down by their ankle. There is no reason for that. The kid was probably tortured at that day care and I would bet the staff most likely encouraged the other kids to pick on the girl.

My fiance has told me stories of her getting bullied.

One of the favourite things to do was grab her by the hair and helicopter her. That is, swing her around as fast as possible.

The day she finally listened to her mother and stood up for herself, she punched the bully in the face.

She got suspended, not him. That messed her up for a long time.

People are assholes. I hope those kids catch a whooping and the adults get jailed
