After Dailymail reported publicly that Aaron Persky, the disgraced California Judge who gave Stanford Swimmer, Brock Turner a LENIENT sentence and set him FREE was Hired and FIRED within 24 hours after outrage occurred when a School District hired him to be a Tennis Coach for GIRLS at Lynnbrook High School!!

His role was to shape the minds and athletic careers of young girls and it was his first job since Santa Clara County voters removed him from office for sentencing Brock Turner just 6 months in jail after Turner was found guilty of sexually assaulting an unconscious girl behind a dumpster in 2015

Persky said Brock was an "excellent" student who didn't deserve to have his life ruined over his conviction as Brock's father also said it was a mistake for his son's "20 minutes of action"

Dailymail has learned that Fremont Union High School District said "Effective Sept. 11, 2019, Mr Persky's employment with the district as the junior varsity girls tennis coach has ended"

The district claims they had NO IDEA that Persky was the judge who set Turner free as news of the position sparked outrage and an online petition to have him fired

After dailymail reported the hiring, several national media outlets ran stories about his coaching position as Neha Palvai started a change.org petition calling for his firing and in less than 2 days received 100+ signatures

She said "By hiring Persky as the FEMALE teams tennis coach, the Lynbrook High School and Santa Clara admins are explicity and ignorantly allowing rape culture to ensue.

They will now start searching for a new coach

Do you think Persky deserves to have his career destroyed?

Now I'm not a fan of following a person around making it impossible to hold any job.

It's absolutely unjustifiable to have this man be a coach for girls.

If it counts, he definitely should not have a job teaching or influencing a younger generation.

This sounds about right. The man doesn't deserve to starve in the streets, but nobody with such a flippant disregard for sexual assault should be in any position remotely like this.

Well, his career already was destroyed. He's not a judge now. However, obviously he should be able to work *somewhere*, although I'm not sure that was the best place.

A hundred signatures? That's nothing. Plus places shouldn't have their decisions dictated to them by people who don't even live in the area.

Well, better that than have him coach boys. It seems like he'd be a much more problematic influence there.

Uh this isn't a "we gotta chose one" scenario really.

I'm just thinking of a girl having problems and asking him a question and he goes "Think about what you're doing to him, you're just a girl, he's better than you."

He's obviously a person not fit for mentoring children of any kind, I just was making a response to this particular situation.
