I live in Japan, it's not cheaper. Assuming you live in America there is no difference in the power cables between Japan and America.

So current exchange rate you can maybe save about $4.

I guess if you want to try to go the duty-free route and not pay taxes you could maybe get one at Yodobashi Camera or a similar store, but I feel it will cost more than Amazon there assuming it's in stock.

I'm really doubting you could actually get it cheaper here I guess. Assuming you go the tax free route, you need to fine it in-stock at a store offering that (Yodobash being my suggestion), then we have to assume they go full retail price, because outside Amazon that's usually how it is here, so looking at $300.53 using current exchange. Assuming you get to buy it without tax you could maybe get it for around $276.49. So that's the likely best deal you can get in Japan. Actually the US longer battery life model is available for $299.00 on American Amazon, I would get that.

Buy a Switch in Japan. Then buy another Switch in the US. Compare the receipts and then return the more expensive one.
