What if I'm pretty happy with my health insurance, and I'm not 100% confident that Sanders or whoever will implement M4A well? You'd be asking me to take a risk for no clear upside relative to a public option.

Lots of countries have good health systems that aren't single payer. In the best case M4A might be a little better, but it's also a hell of a lot riskier and imo that risk is not at all worth it when there are other models that work.

No one is talking about taking the care,
but rather changing how and to who the checks get cut.

Alternatively there are people who are lucky enough to have not needed to actually utilize their health insurance in significant ways or to have been denied crucial services.
