did y'all get a dreamcast at launch or while it was still actively supported? I remember my rich friend got one and I was jelly, but honestly the thing that always stuck out to me about it was that it only had 1 analog stick. I had already had my PS1 controller with dual analogs for a while at that point iirc and going back to 1 seemed like... a step backwards --- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ... I got one that Christmas I believe. Still one of my favorite consoles. Fur fighters, toy commander and the first sonic adventure were so much fun.

Oh my ...I forgot about that. IIRC MTV had their TV Music Awards on 9/9/99 as well.

I still play mine occasionally. I use a VGA output to one of my old Viewsonic CRTs and Soul Calibur still looks great even to this day.

I didn't get one myself until early this year (january actually) and its surprising how well some of the games still play; tbh, I pretty much only play it with my friends, though. No real experience with any single player gameplay. My faves though are probably:
