like, I don't know if everyone jumped to Overwatch and, consequently, Overwatch 2.

Last I played SC2 was... umm... before the 2nd campaign was added. So it was Terran only.

I love Starcraft 2! I play daily. I'm about to play right now.

I mostly play co-op though. Sometimes I do campaign and try to get the achievements.

1v1 multiplayer is still really popular. You often find matches in under 10 seconds. Team games though you'll be waiting a long time.

It's doing really well considering RTS as a genre has fallen by the wayside. The co-op mode retains a respectable player count and the competitive scene is alive and well.

I remember being super stoked way back it it was first announced. Then at the end they had the Ghost's drop some nukes and then the Zerglings showed up!

I never was able to get it and get to play it though....Doesn't matter much because even though I like RTS games, I'm terrible at them XD

I saw a video that suggested that building only void rays would almost always win since their hard counters are awkward to stack or something

I've actually been replaying the SC2 campaigns recently. Still holds up. Though I still don't like the Protoss campaign. =/ The Zerg campaign really is the best one.

My favorite is the Terran mission that played like a MOBA. I think that's why I never sided with Nova.

I may have made some poor life choices in playing Legacy of the Void on hard. I'm not particularly good at Protoss, and a lot of these missions are actually pretty hard, making you split up your attention among a bunch of different things. It doesn't help that I'm also going for achievements. >_>

Also, it always weirded me out that Alarak is voiced by John de Lancie. He's so cartoonishly evil, and de Lancie's voice is so distinct, that it just comes off as hilarious rather than scary.

I enjoyed the campaigns but I thought the epilogue was hot garbage. The writing takes a nosedive immediately and it's pretty jarring.

I didn't really remember the epilogue but I beat LotV on Hard and then did the epilogue. Yikes yeah that was REALLY bad. idk just all around I got a feeling from LotV that the campaign was rushed.

It sucks. Broodwar has been having a huge resurgence in S.Korea because of how shitty SC2 is.

I remember the big hype at launch time. I don't even think Dota2 was around at the time to compete against it. (It might have been, just saying I don't remember)

It's still around and hasn't been going anywhere since, unlike that failure of a Moba: Heroes of the Storm which got it's entire e-sports scene shutdown because it failed so hard.

Funny enough I've recently finished playing through SC Remastered with my own mod of the original campaigns but made harder, now onto SC2 and I've been three fourths of the way through the Terran campaign on brutal so far and also been delving into the co-op mode which is pretty fun.

Sure the story of all the campaigns is ass but the gameplay is fun at least besides the Zerg one.

I bought the collector's edition box of each campaign. I didn't like that even if you have the disc you are still required to download everything. WoL kept crashing 2 hours into the installation requiring that I start over.

I liked the plot of the Terran campaign. I didn't like the way the missions were structured. Unit progression made no sense. Missions only showcased the new unit and you were never really free to mix and match like in the original. Especially with mutually exclusive upgrade paths.

One major flub from the story is when Dr. Hanson asks if the rumors about Arcturus are true, while the adjutant is in the corner glitching out and she was the one to recover the evidence from its memory. Another is when Donny Vermillion breaks down on air because of Tarsonis, then is back to defending Arcturus after another mission in a different branch.

The Zerg were nothing like they were in the original. Scripted events show them doing things that the player never gets access to when controlling them. The manual for the original describes the Zerg parasite taking on aspects of the host over generations. Now they're more like a pathogen that mutates the host.

Then the Protoss plot retcons just about everything the manual says the first game was about.
